We are always pleased to offer design advice when you come to purchase. However, if you have a larger project or space that needs plants, you may need a little more time with either Kelly or myself. If this sounds like you, please feel free to reach out and we would be happy to assist with a design consult.
This is how our garden design service works:
- E mail, phone or drop in to let us know you that you would like some help. At this point we can chat about your project. We may ask you to get your beds better prepared with soil or mulch and give you some other tips to be ready for planting.
- When you are ready to make your purchases and plant, set up an appointment with us. That way we can ensure that we have dedicated and uninterrupted time to give you.
- Take measurements of the new garden. Draw a sketch map which shows all dimensions. Be sure to include heights and widths of windows or any existing plant material, including big trees. Make sure you know which way is north.
- Take photos from a few angles. Full sun or part shade?
- Make a list of any plant likes or dislikes and jot down any ideas or questions you may have.
- Feel free to send us the sketch map and photos ahead of time if you wish.
- Come to your design consult ready to purchase plants. We are happy to spend as much time as necessary with you, but we do expect you to make your purchases here.
- Go home and plant according to the plan that we have worked on. We love to see photos of your completed garden!
