Bright red flowers all summer!

This Canadian bred rose was developed for both its strength and beauty. As its name suggests,  Canadian Shield is a hardy plant, being winter hardy to zone 3 and able to thrive in the diverse conditions found across the country. Plants are upright and bushy with glossy green foliage. Magnificent, scarlet red flowers grow in clusters and are large, fully double  and mildly fragrant. Being a repeat bloomer, this rose will stay stunning throughout the entire garden season.

Canadian Shield is disease resistant and low maintenance and will not succumb to black spot or powdery mildew. Plan on this rose growing 3 to 4 feet in this area. As with other roses, do not prune in the fall – instead wait until spring and prune back to live buds.
