Unique flowers and berries
Now here’s a perennial plant that’s a little different! Blackberry Lily foliage is similar to a short Iris and grows about 18” high. In summer, lovely showy orange blossoms with a heavy red speckling are produced. Then in the fall, tan seed pods burst open to reveal clusters of black seeds that resemble blackberries.
Freckle Face is easy to grow – just plant in sun for the best growth. I use this special plant in my own gardens – at the front of the beds, tucked between other larger perennials as a little surprise here and there.
