Diervilla Kodiak – Dwarf Bush Honeysuckle

Fabulous foliage!

I discovered this easy and beautiful shrub a few years back and since then have planted it in many gardens. I really love it! Diervilla Kodiak comes in three varieties, Black, Orange and Red, each referring to the foliage colour tone.

All three varieties otherwise have the same characteristics. They grow 3-4 feet high and are covered in small yellow flowers in the summer, drawing in bees and hummingbirds. Shrubs are fast growing and will grow equally well in sun, shade or drought conditions. The real show comes in the fall when foliage takes on a gorgeous orange tone. Find a place in your garden for this fabulous and not so common shrub!
