Must have all season colour!

Verbenas are sun loving annual plants, easy to grow and available in several colours. We grow the Superbena Royale series of Verbenas – including Chambray (dark blue), Romance (deep red), Plum Wine, White, Peachy Keen (peach) and Sparkling Amethyst (shades of pink with white centre). Verbenas are great spreaders, both in the garden as a ground cover or in containers where they will trail, growing about 6 – 12” in height. Flowers are formed in large showy balls which give great colour all through the season.

Right into the fall

Even after several frosts in the fall, Verbenas will still be flowering. The only maintenance required, besides fertilizing and watering is some dead heading. My favourite varieties are Peachy Keen and Sparkling Amethyst. Peachy Keen combines well with oranges and reds but also looks fabulous with blues, while I love combining Sparkling Amethyst with purples and pinks.
