Check out our culinary containers!
Once again this year, we were excited and pleased to be awarded the contract to design and grow the street planters for Creemore. Working with the BIA, we decided to incorporate some veggie and herb planters into the mix, with residents welcome to harvest some fresh produce for their own use. After much winter research, I came up with two separate designs that I thought would work well both aesthetically and growth wise. For the purposes of keeping plenty of colour on the street, only half the boxes are veggies and the other half are flowers.
The combinations are as follows:
Veggie combo 1:
Eggplant Patio Baby (Dwarf variety)
Tomato Sweet ‘n Neat Scarlet (Dwarf Cherry Tomato)
Veggie combo 2:
Hot Pepper Loco (Small purple peppers, turning red)
Tomato Sweet ‘n Neat Yellow (Dwarf Cherry Tomato)
Talinum limon (‘Thriller’ – tall, upright lime foliage with tiny pink flowers and red seed pods)
Zinnia Profusion Orange (‘Filler’ – mounding bright orange flowers)
Lobularia Snow Princess (‘Spiller’ – trailing and mounding white flowers)
Petunia Supertunia Indigo Charm – (‘Spiller’ – trailing purple flowers)
We hope you enjoy this year’s combinations!
